About
Sull’aria means “on the air” in Italian. Jenna Anderson, our soprano and Michelle Matts, our flutist, are, in a way, instruments of air, so it fits us well. Sull’aria is also the title of a beautiful duet in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro (Marriage of Figaro) that is our signature piece. Our repertoire includes favorite arias, art songs, flute sonatas, solo and chamber works.
Our Trio, formed, in the Spring of 2019, chose an all-Schubert program for its initial concert series in Richmond and Staunton, Virginia. More recently, we have been performing all-French concerts from composers Bizet, Franck, Faure, Debussy and Delibes, including his spectacular Flower Duet from Lakme arranged for soprano, flute and piano. |
